Jason and Morghan Morrell
Jason came to help his parents in 2005. He found that he enjoyed farming as much as his dad, he is always striving to find different and better ways to farm the ranch. Expanding the Ranch into Christmas trees and growing more and better pumpkins than before. While working at WFR Jason met Morghan who was also working at the ranch. They fell in love and married in 2008. They have 3 children Cash and Twins Poppy and Paisley. Morghan still works at the farm even with her busy growing family as the store manager, the store has never looked so great.
Mark and Arlene Morrell
Mark and Arny bought WFR from Tracy and Leta Walters in 1993 after Mark’s 24 year career as an officer in the US Air Force. Mark was drawn to farming after growing up on his families dairy farm in Elk River, MN. Hard work and the joy of farming was in his blood.
Arny fell in love with the beautiful Green Bluff country side. She brought her talent for making the best pies around to WFR, the pie business started out small rolling dough into the wee hours of the night. But after a few short years it was true Arny’s Take N’ Bake pies were something special and delicious. Now WFR sells over 15,000 pies a year with 32 varieties. YUM.
These days you will find Mark and Arny at the ranch helping their son and daughter in-law to continue to make WFR truly “where fun grows”. If you don’t see them up at the ranch they are at the lake.
